Turn Screen Rotation On / Off

Screen rotation allows your Windows® 11 device to switch orientations automatically. By default, the screen rotates when you turn the device, but this setting can be turned off.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Start menu
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
    Display
    .
  3. From the 'Scale & layout' section, select
    Rotation lock
     to turn on or off.
    If using a 2:1 device (i.e., laptop/tablet) rotation lock is only available in tablet mode.
