Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy S21 FE 5G makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove or arrange apps, use widgets or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From the Apps screen, touch and hold an app.
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Tap the preferred widget then tap
    Add
    .
  4. Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen location.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an app (e.g., Calendar).
  2. Drag-and-drop the app onto another app (e.g., Gmail) to create a folder.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To rename a folder:
      1. Tap the folder then tap the
        Title bar
        .
      2. Enter a name then tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, apps, etc.).
  2. Tap
    Remove
    .
    Tap
    Uninstall
     to delete the app from the device. Some pre-installed apps (e.g., Gmail, Gallery, etc.) can't be uninstalled from the device.

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Tap
        My Wallpapers
        .
      2. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      3. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, Home and lock screens).
      4. From the preview screen tap
        Set on...
         to confirm.
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        Gallery
        .
      2. Locate and select the preferred picture, then press
        Done
        .
      3. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, Home and lock screens).
      4. From the preview screen tap
        Set on...
         to confirm.
