Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your Orbic® AirSurf 5G™ laptop to get started. This ensures you can connect to the internet.

Before you begin

Make sure the 5G SIM is inserted into the device.
New lines of service are activated when the device is powered on.
If upgrading an existing line of service, call the toll-free number (877-807-4646) once the device is received and follow the instructions to activate your Orbic AirSurf 5G. Ensure the previous device is turned off.

Steps

  1. Press the
    Power key
     to turn on the laptop.
  2. Cortana® narrates the setup process, if preferred tap the
    Microphone icon
     to silence Cortana.
  3. Select a region and the preferred keyboard layout.
  4. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  5. Review the Windows® 11 License Agreement then select
    Accept
    .
  6. Sign in with Microsoft®, enter an email address, phone or Skype™ account then select
    Next
    .
  7. Select
    Create PIN
    , enter a PIN, re-enter the PIN then select
    OK
    .
  8. Choose privacy settings for your device then read through the settings, adjust as desired then select
    Accept
    .
  9. To customize your experience, select the preferred options (e.g., Gaming, School, etc.) then select
    Accept
    .
  10. Select the one of the following to connect your Android™ phone to your computer to make calls, send messages, or use mobile apps:
    • No, thanks
    • Remind me later
  11. From the 'Your Microsoft account and OneDrive' screen, tap or click
    Next
    .
  12. Select your Windows experience. To upgrade to Windows 11 select
