Samsung Galaxy A13 - Activate / Set Up Device
These steps guide you through setting up and customizing your Galaxy A13 for everyday use.
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.

- Ensure a 5G SIM card is inserted into the device before powering on.To avoid potential activation / service issues, don't insert a 4G SIM card.5G devices purchased from Verizon include a pre-installed 5G SIM card.
- Press and hold thePower button(on the right edge; below Volume buttons) until the Samsung Galaxy screen appears then release.
- Select the appropriate language then tapStart.
- To continue, review the 'Terms and Conditions' screen then tapAgree.
- From the 'Phone Activation' screen, tapNext.If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the on-screen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.
- From the 'Easy setup with another device' screen, select an option or tapSet up manually.
- From the 'Set up Wi-Fi' screen, select a network then enter the password.TapSkipto add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.
- From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, select the preferred option:If troubleshooting, don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

- Allow scanning
- Send usage and diagnostic data
- From the 'Protect your phone' screen, tap an option.
- From the 'Verizon Services' screen, turn the following on or off then tapAccept.
- From the 'Verizon Cloud' screen, review the info then tapAccept.TapSkipto set up Verizon Cloud after setup is complete.
- From the 'Digital Secure' screen, tapAccept.TapSkipto change permissions after the setup is complete.
- From the 'Sign in to your Samsung account' screen, sign in to your existing account or create a new Samsung account.TapForgot password or don't have an account?to add a Samsung account after setup is complete.
- Tap the applicable switch(es) to turn on or off then tapAgree.
- From the 'Choose your display mode' screen, select an option then tapNext.
- From the 'Setup Wizard is complete' screen, tapDone.
