Enabling a SIM PIN provides extra security to your Galaxy A13, helping to prevent unauthorized use and protect your personal info if your device is misplaced or stolen.

Before you begin

Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card, so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the SIM PIN / PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security and Privacy
    More security settings
    SIM card security
    .
  3. Tap the
    Lock SIM card switch
     to turn on or off.
  4. Enter the SIM PIN then tap
    OK
    .
    The default SIM PIN is 1111.
  5. To change your SIM PIN, ensure Lock SIM card switch is on then do the following:
    1. Tap
      Change SIM PIN
      .
    2. Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
    3. Enter the new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
      .
    4. Re-enter the new SIM PIN then tap
      OK
