Set Router Admin Password

Setting the admin password for your Verizon Internet Gateway improves security, prevents unauthorized access to your network settings and helps keep your home internet connection private and secure.

Before you begin

The default password is located on the label on the bottom of the Internet Gateway.

Steps

  1. Access the router Admin Page then click
    Advanced
     at the top of the page.
  2. From the left menu, navigate:
    System
    System Settings
    .
  3. Enter a new admin password, re-enter the new admin password then click
    Apply Changes
    .
