Move Files from Internal Storage to SD / Memory Card

Moving files to an SD card frees up storage space and helps your moto g stylus 5G run more efficiently.

Before you begin

Ensure an SD / memory card is inserted in your moto g stylus 5G before moving files.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Storage

Internal shared storage

Select a category (e.g., Photos & videos, Music & audio, etc.).

Select the directory / folder that contains the file(s).

Tap the

3-dot Menu icon

in the upper right.

Tap

Select

then select the applicable files(s).

Tap the

3-dot Menu icon

Tap

Move to folder

then tap

SD Card folders

Navigate to the directory you want to move the files to or create a new folder.

If prompted, tap

Continue

If prompted, tap

Allow access to SD Card

then tap

Allow
