Add / Remove Face Recognition

Use facial recognition on your moto g stylus 5G to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Face unlock
    .
  3. Enter the current pattern, PIN or password.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Tap
        Set Up
         then tap
        Next
        .
      2. Align your face within the circle and follow onscreen prompts until the process is complete.
      3. Tap the
        Skip lock screen switch
         to turn on or off.
      4. Tap the
        Lift to unlock switch
         to turn on or off.
      5. Tap
        Next
        .
      6. Review the instructions, then tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Delete face data
        .
      2. To confirm, tap
        OK
        .
