Manage Wireless Emergency Alerts

Emergency alerts keep you updated on situations like severe weather, public safety threats, AMBER alerts, etc. Set your moto g stylus 5G to receive only the alerts you want.

Before you begin

National alerts can't be turned off.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Notifications
    Wireless emergency alerts
    .
  3. From the Alerts section, tap any of the following to turn on or off:
    • AMBER alerts
    • Extreme threats
    • Severe threats
    • Public safety messages
    • State and local test
  4. Tap
    Vibration
     to turn on or off.
  5. Tap
    Alert reminder sound
     then select an option (e.g., Once, Every 2 minutes, etc.).
  6. Tap
    Spanish
     to turn the ability to receive emergency alerts in Spanish, when available, on or off.
