Factory Data Reset (Powered Off)

Reset your Galaxy Watch5 / Watch5 Pro to factory settings as a final troubleshooting step. Use this method if your device is unresponsive or you can't access the Settings menu.

Before you begin

If your device is responsive and can be powered on, the preferred reset method should be performed.

Steps

  1. With the watch powered off, press
    Power / Home button
     until the Samsung logo appears.
  2. Press and hold both the
    Power / Home button
     and
    Back button
     together until rebooting appears beneath the Samsung logo then tap the
    Power button
     twice.
  3. From the Reboot Mode menu, select 
    Recovery
     then wait for the device to reboot.
    Press and release the
    Power / Home button
     to cycle through options then press and hold it to select.
  4. Allow 30-45 seconds for the Recovery menu to appear, press the
    Back button
     to navigate to 'Wipe data / factory reset' then press the
    Power / Home button
    .
  5. From the Recovery screen, select
    Reboot system now
     then allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.
