Set Up Speed Dial

Setting up speed dial entries on your One Talk VZP59 IP desk phone allows you to call important phone numbers quickly and easily.

Before you begin

If desired, a speed dial number can utilize pause dialing. This is useful for navigating interactive menus automatically.

Steps

  1. From the idle screen, tap the
    Plus icon
     to create a speed dial using a blank line key, or long press and drag an existing line key onto the
    Edit icon
    .
  2. From the Type field, select
    Speed Dial
    .
  3. Select a contact from the Directory or enter the appropriate info:
    • Label
    • Value (extension number)
      Pause dialing: While entering the speed dial phone number, enter a comma (,) to insert a short delay time before dialing the next number in the string. Extend the delay by entering more commas.
      Example: Entering a speed dial value of 9875551212,,,,,1234# will cause the desk phone to dial 9875551212, a moderate wait, then dial 1234#.
  4. Tap the
    Checkmark icon
     to save changes.
