MOTOROLA EDGE - 2022 - Activate / Set Up Device

These steps guide you through setting up and customizing your motorola edge - 2022 for everyday use.
  • To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up Verizon Prepaid Service.
  • Depending on the options selected, some steps may appear in a different order.
  1. Ensure a 5G SIM is inserted into the device prior to powering on.
    To avoid potential activation / service issues, don't insert a 4G SIM card.

  2. If powered off, press and hold the
    Power button
     until the moto logo appears then release.

  3. Select the appropriate language then tap
    START

  4. If presented with the 'Phone Activation' screen, tap
    Next
    .
    If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.

  5. From the 'Connect to Wi-Fi' screen, select a network then enter the password.

     to add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

  6. From the 'Privacy & software updates' screen, tap any of the switches to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap

  7. From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, select one of the following:
    • Next
    • Don't Copy
      If troubleshooting, choose this option and don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

  8. Sign in to your existing Google™ account or create a new one.

  9. From the 'Google services' screen, tap any of the switches to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap
