Block / Unblock Numbers

Blocking certain numbers on your Pixel 7 / 7 Pro stops unwanted calls and messages. If you can't receive calls or messages from specific numbers, verify they're not blocked.

Before you begin

Calls and messages from contacts or phone numbers added to the block list are automatically ignored. The call is forwarded to Voicemail and text / picture messages aren't delivered to the Messages app.
If calls from a specific number go directly to Voicemail but you're still able to receive text messages, ensure the contact isn't set to automatically route to Voicemail. Navigate:
Contacts
, select the contact, tap the
3-dot Menu icon
 then tap
Unroute to voicemail
.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Phone app
    .
  2. Tap the
    3-dot Menu icon
     then tap
    Settings
    .
  3. Tap
    Blocked numbers
     then do any of the following:
    • To add a block:
      1. Tap
        Add a number
        .
      2. Add the number to be blocked.
      3. Tap
        Block
        .
    • To remove a block:
      1. Tap the
        Remove icon
         to the right of the blocked number.
      2. Tap
        Unblock
        .
