Google Pixel 7 / 7 Pro - Add / Remove Face Recognition

Here's how to set up and remove facial recognition on your Pixel 7 / 7 Pro.
  1. Ensure a secure screen lock type has been set up.
  2. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  3. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Device unlock
    Fingerprint & Face Unlock
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  5. Tap
    Face Unlock
    .
  6. Do any of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Review the info, then tap
        I agree
        .
      2. Review the info, then tap
        Start
        .
      3. From the 'Help made Face Unlock better' screen, read the disclaimer, then tap
        I Agree
         to participate or tap
        Skip
         to decline.
      4. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the circle displayed onscreen.
      5. From the 'Looks good!' screen, tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the 'Face Unlock' menu, tap
        Delete face model
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer, then tap
        Delete
        .
