Google Pixel Watch - Create and Send a Text Message

Here's how to create and send a text message from your Pixel Watch.
Ensure your Pixel Watch software is up to date as the steps below apply to the most recent version.
  1. From the watch screen, press the
    Crown button
     to open the apps screen.
    Swipe up on watch screen
  2. Tap
    Messages
    .
  3. Tap an existing chat thread or tap
    Start chat
    .
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To enter a 10-digit mobile number:
      1. Tap the
        Keypad icon
         Keypad icon.
      2. Enter the 10-digit number then tap the
        Checkmark icon
         .
    • To select a contact:
      1. Swipe up on the watch screen.
      2. Tap the preferred contact.
      3. Tap
        Start chat
        .
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Use Voice Service to create text:
      1. Tap the
        Voice icon
         Microphone icon.
        If necessary, review the Privacy Policy then tap
        Next
        .
        If prompted, allow to access the microphone.
      2. Speak your message then tap the
        Send icon
         Send icon.
    • Send an Emoji:
      1. Tap the
        Emoji icon
         Emoji icon.
      2. Tap the desired emoji then tap the
        Send icon
         Send icon.
    • Type a Message:
      1. Tap the
        Keypad icon
         Keypad icon.
      2. Enter a message.
      3. Tap the
        Send icon
         Send icon.
