Manage Hotspot Settings - KYOCERA DuraXV Extreme+

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, hotspot name, timeout, etc.) on your DuraXV Extreme+.
  1. From the main screen, select
    Menu
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

  2. Navigate:
    Settings & tools
    Settings
    Wireless & Networks
    .
  3. Select
    Tethering and Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Select
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  5. Select
    Mobile Hotspot
     again.
  6. Highlight
    On
     then select
    Set
     to turn on the mobile hotspot.
  7. If prompted, read the info about the mobile hotspot then select
    OK
    .
  8. If prompted, read the info about the mobile hotspot using data service then press the
    left soft key
     Left soft key to choose Yes.
  9. Select
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
  10. Configure the following as needed:
    • Hotspot name
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2 PSK, etc.)
    • Password
      1. Select the
        Password Field
         then enter the new password.
        Password must be at least 8 characters.
        The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      2. If preferred, highlight
        Show password
         then press the
        left soft key
         to select.
  11. Scroll down and highlight the
    Broadcast channel field
     then select a preferred option (Auto, 1, 6, 11, etc.) then select
    Set
    .
  12. Select
    Save
     then press the
    left soft key
     to choose
    Continue
