Follow these instructions to configure IMAP, POP3 or Exchange® account settings for an email address on your moto g play - 2023 that's not serviced by Gmail™.

Add a Personal Email Account

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Passwords, passkeys & accounts
    .
  3. Tap
    Add account
    .
  4. Tap
    Personal (IMAP)
     or
    Personal (POP3)
    .
    Check with your email provider or Exchange / IT admin to determine which account type to use.
  5. Enter your email address then tap
    Next
    .
  6. Enter the password then tap
    Next
    .
  7. If presented with Terms & Conditions or a Privacy statement, review then tap
    Yes
     to continue.
  8. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the setup.

Add a Corporate Email Account

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Passwords, passkeys & accounts
    .
  3. Tap
    Add account
    .
  4. Tap
    Exchange
    .
    Check with your email provider or Exchange / IT admin to determine which account type to use.
  5. Enter your corporate email address then tap
    Next
    .
  6. Enter your password then tap
    Next
    .
  7. If automatic setup is unsuccessful, tap
    Manual Setup
     then if needed, engage your Exchange / IT admin for more support on:
    • Email address
    • Server address
    • Domain
    • Port number
    • Username
    • Password
    • Activate device administration
    • Sync options (e.g., Email, Contacts, Calendar)
