Adjust Account Sync Settings

Adjusting the sync settings on your Galaxy S23 / S23+ / S23 Ultra helps manage app updates, improve performance, conserve battery and control data usage.

Before you begin

Turning off auto sync prevents accounts from automatically refreshing your data and sending notifications.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accounts and backup
    Manage accounts
    .
  3. Tap the
    Auto sync data switch
     to turn on or off.
  4. Tap an account (e.g., Cloud, Email, Google, etc.).
  5. Tap
    Sync account
    .
  6. Tap the switch for individual items (e.g., Contacts, Calendar, Email, etc.) to turn on or off.
    To perform a manual sync, tap the
    3-dot Menu icon
     then tap
    Sync now
    .
