Samsung Galaxy S23 / Galaxy S23 Ultra - Customize Your Home Screen

Here's how to add / remove Home screen items (widgets, apps or folders) and set the wallpaper on your Galaxy S23 / Galaxy S23+ / Galaxy S23 Ultra.
To customize the Home screen on your Galaxy S23 / Galaxy S23+ / Galaxy S23 Ultra, do any of the following:

A shortcut to an individual contact or bookmark can only be added to a Home screen via a widget.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag and drop the shortcut to the preferred Home screen location.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added.
Widgets are mini-apps (e.g., weather, clock, calendar, etc.) that can be added to a Home screen. They aren't the same as shortcuts as they generally display info and take up more space than a single icon.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    (at the bottom).
  3. Tap the appropriate app.
  4. Touch and hold the desired widget to drag it to the preferred Home screen location then release.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate widget.
    Options vary depending upon the type of widget.
  1. Drag the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Calendar) then release.
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created (titled Unnamed Folder). To rename the folder:
    To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
    1. Tap
      Folder Name
      (at the top).
    2. Enter a name for the folder then tap
      Done
      (lower-right).
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item until the menu appears then release.
  2. Tap the applicable option:
    • Remove
    • Disable
      Options vary depending on the app.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
    (lower-left).
  3. Perform one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Tap
        My wallpapers
        .
      2. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      3. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, Home and lock screens).
      4. To confirm, tap
        "Set on ..."
        (at the bottom).
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        From Gallery
        .
        If prompted, review the location information message then tap
        Allow
        .
      2. Locate then select the preferred picture.
      3. Tap
        Done
        (upper-right).
      4. Select an option (e.g., Home screen, Lock screen, Home and lock screens).
      5. Tap
        "Set on..."
