A screen lock secures your Galaxy S23 / S23+ / S23 Ultra and keeps it private. Setting it up or adjusting the options helps you find the right balance between security and accessibility.

Enable / Modify Screen Lock

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Lock screen and AOD
    Screen lock and biometrics
    .
  3. Tap one of the following:
    • Pattern
    • PIN
    • Password
  4. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the setup then tap
    Confirm
     or
    OK
    .

Disable Screen Lock

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Lock screen and AOD
    Screen lock and biometrics
    .
  3. Tap
    None
     or
    Swipe
    .
  4. If prompted, review the info about biometric data (Face, Fingerprints) then tap
    Remove data
    .
