Samsung Galaxy S23 / Galaxy S23 Ultra - Home Screen Settings

Here's how to change the default Home screen settings on your Galaxy S23 / Galaxy S23+ / Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Expand All
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Home screen
    Home screen layout
    .
    If unavailable, touch and hold a blank area of the Home screen then tap
    Settings
    .
  3. Select one of the following:
    • Home and Apps screens
      All apps display on an Apps screen, which is separate from the Home screen.
      This is the default setting.
    • Home screen only
      All apps display on the Home screen.
  4. Tap
    Apply
    .

    Home screen
    Home screen grid
    .
    If unavailable, touch and hold a blank area of the Home screen then tap
    Settings
    .
  3. Select the desired option (e.g., 4x5, 4x6, 5x5, 5x6) located at the bottom.
    When selected, a preview of the change displays above.
  4. Tap
    Save
    .
Adjusting the screen grid to a higher setting (e.g. 4x5 to 5x6) reduces the size of icons to conserve space and display more apps on the screen.

  5. To rearrange icons and remove empty space(s):
    1. From the apps screen, tap the
      Menu icon
      Menu icon.
    2. Tap
      Clean up pages
      .
    3. Tap
      Apply

    Apps button

    If unavailable, touch and hold a blank area of the Home screen then tap

  3. Tap
    Show Apps screen button on Home screen
    to turn on or off.
Selected apps don't appear on the Home and Apps screens.

    Hide apps

    If unavailable, touch and hold a blank area of the Home screen then tap
    Settings

  3. Tap
    Hide apps
    .
  4. Select the desired app(s).
    Selected when a checkmark is present.

    Done
