Move Media Files to / from Computer

Connecting your Galaxy A54 5G to a computer allows you to move photos, videos, or music to free up storage space or back them up to make sure your files are safe.

Before you begin

If using a Macintosh® computer, additional software is required to transfer files.

Steps

  1. Connect your device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. If prompted to allow access to your data, tap
    Allow
    .
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the
      Status Bar
       from the top middle of the screen then swipe down.
    2. From the list of notifications, locate then tap the USB option (e.g., USB charging, USB for image transfer, etc.).
    3. Select
      Transferring files / Android Auto
      .
  3. From your computer, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
  4. Using File Explorer' or Windows Explorer, from the 'Devices and drives' section navigate:
    Galaxy A54 5G
    Phone
    .
  5. Use the computer to copy media files between the applicable folder (e.g., DCIM/Camera, Download, Movies, etc.) on the device and the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
