TCL 40 XE 5G - Add a Virtual Private Network

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your TCL 40 XE 5G to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your identity online via a secured remote server.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    Add icon
     Add icon.
  4. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap
    OK
    .
    Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
    If needed, contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  6. If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the Proxy.
    The available options vary depending on the selected VPN type.
