TCL 40 XE 5G - Factory Data Reset (Powered On)

Here's how to factory / hard reset your TCL 40 XE 5G if the screen freezes or call, app, audio or sync issues occur.
Perform a factory data reset only if necessary as it removes your Google account and all data including system app, app data and media.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
    An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.
  2. Navigate:
    System
    Reset
    Factory data reset
    .
  3. Tap
    RESET PHONE
    .
    If presented, enter the current unlock pattern, PIN or password.
  4. Tap
    ERASE EVERYTHING
    .
    Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.
    If needed, set up your device. If troubleshooting third-party apps, don't restore app data.
