TCL TAB 8 Plus - Common Camera Settings

Here's info on common camera settings (e.g., flash, timer, front / rear camera, etc.) for your TAB 8 Plus.

AI Scene Detection

From a Home screen, tap the

Camera icon

(lower-right).

Tap the

AI Scene Detection icon

to turn on or off.

When on, the camera intelligently analyzes the scene to optimize the perfect shot.

Aspect Ratio

From a Home screen, tap the

Camera icon

(lower-right).

Tap the

Aspect Ratio icon

Select an option:

4:3

1:1

Full screen

Filters

From a Home screen, tap the

Camera icon

(lower-right).

Tap the

Filters icon

then choose an option (e.g., Vivid, Dramatic, etc.).

Front / Rear Camera

From a Home screen, tap the

Camera icon

(lower-right).

Tap the

Camera Facing icon

to switch between the rear and front-facing camera.

Scene Categories

From a Home screen, tap the

Camera icon

(lower-right).

Tap the

Scene Categories icon

then choose an option (e.g., Beach, Blue Sky, etc.).

Settings

From a Home screen, tap the

Camera icon

(lower-right).

Tap the

Settings icon

to access the following options:

Tap then select the preferred option:

Photo size

Video quality

Volume button function

Storage

Only available if an SD / memory card is inserted.

Tap the switches to turn on Switch on

or off

Save location information

Shutter sound

Tap

Reset settings

to return camera settings to their default values.

Shot Mode

From a Home screen, tap the

Camera icon

(lower-right).

Tap the preferred shot mode:

Video

Photo

Stop motion

Pano

To switch between left-to-right and right-to-left, tap

TOUCH TO TOGGLE DIRECTION

Timer

From a Home screen, tap the

Camera icon

(lower-right).

Tap the

Timer icon

Select an option:

Off

2 seconds

5 seconds

8 seconds

Zoom

From a Home screen, tap the

Camera icon

(lower-right).

Tap the

Zoom icon

then select the preferred zoom level (1.0x to 4.0x).
