Here's how to erase all data on the SD / memory card in your TAB 8 Plus.
This procedure erases all data on the SD / memory card. It's recommended to back up your data before formatting.
To perform the steps below, ensure an SD / memory card is inserted.
  1. Ensure that your tablet isn't connected to a computer via the USB cable.
  2. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
  3. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Storage
    .
  4. Tap the
    THIS DEVICE dropdown menu
     Dropdown menu icon (upper-left) then tap
    SD CARD
    .
    The name varies depending upon the type of card used.
  5. Tap the
    Menu icon
     Menu icon (upper-right).
  6. Tap
    Format
    .
  7. Review the disclaimer then tap
    FORMAT SD CARD
    .
    Allow several seconds for the process to complete.
