Google Pixel Watch 2 - Turn NFC On / Off

Here's how to turn NFC on or off so compatible apps can transfer files from your Pixel Watch 2.
  • Ensure your Pixel Watch 2 software is up to date as the steps below apply to the most recent version.
  • Near Field Communication (NFC) allows the transferring of data between devices that are a few centimeters apart, typically back-to-back. NFC must be enabled for NFC-based apps (e.g., Samsung Pay) to function correctly.
  1. From the Home screen, press the
    Crown button
     on the right edge of the watch to open the apps screen.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
    Connectivity
    NFC
    .
  3. Tap the
    NFC switch
     to turn on or off.
