Samsung Galaxy S23 FE - Activate / Set Up Device
Here's how to quickly set up your Galaxy S23 FE.
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating your new Galaxy S23 FE.

- Ensure a 5G SIM card is inserted into the device prior to powering on.To avoid potential activation / service issues, don't insert a 4G SIM card.5G Devices purchased from Verizon include a pre-installed 5G SIM card.
- If powered off, press and hold thePower buttonon the right edge of your device until the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE screen appears then release.
- Select the appropriate language then tapStart.
- To continue, review the Terms and Conditions then tapAgree.
- From the 'Phone Activation' screen, tapNext.If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the on-screen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.
- From the 'Easy setup with another device' screen, select an option or tapSet up manually.
- Select a network then enter the password then tapNext.TapSkipto add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.
- From the 'Copy apps & data' screen, select the preferred option:
- Don't copyIf troubleshooting, choose this option and don't restore the device until all testing has been completed.

- From the 'Protect your phone' screen, tap an option.
- From the Google Services screen, select any options (e.g., Back up device data, Use location, etc.) to turn on or off then tapAccept.
- From the 'Verizon Services' screen, tap the applicable switch(es) to turn the available options (e.g., Location info, Apps info) on or off then tapAccept.
- From the 'Verizon Cloud' screen, tapAccept.TapSkipto set up Verizon Cloud after setup is complete.
- From the 'Digital Secure' screen, tapAccept.TapSkipto change permissions after setup is complete.
- From the 'Samsung account' screen, sign in to your existing account or tap 'Forgot password or don't have an account?' to create an account.To add a Samsung account after setup is complete, tap 'Forgot password or don't have an account?' then tap 'Set up later in Settings'.
- To continue, review and accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy screen then tapAgree.
- From the 'Samsung services' screen, tap the applicable switch(es) to turn on or off then tapAgree.
- From the Check your region, tap 'Utah' or 'Other State' then tapNext.
- From the 'Choose your display mode' screen, select the preferred mode (Light or Dark).
- From the You're all set up! screen, tapHome.
