Google Pixel 8 / 8 Pro - Link / Unlink Contacts

Your Pixel 8 / 8 Pro lets you organize your contacts based on your preference by merging the details of multiple entries or separating them.
The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (e.g., Gmail™, Facebook®, etc.). To correct contact info joined in error, you can edit, delete, or undo changes to contacts.

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
    .
  2. Touch and hold the first contact then select other contacts to be linked.
  3. Tap the
    Menu icon
     3-dot Menu icon.
  4. Tap
    Merge
    .
Contacts permanently deleted from Trash can't be recovered.
  1. Open the
    Contacts app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Switch account icon
     switch account icon then tap
    Contacts settings
    .
  3. From the Edit contacts section, tap
    Undo changes
    .
  4. If prompted, choose the account then select an option (e.g., 10 mins ago, 1 hr ago, Yesterday, etc.).
    The option you select reverts all contacts changed within that time frame.
  5. Tap
    Confirm
     then tap
    OK
