Samsung Galaxy A15 5G - Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to manage fingerprint recognition to unlock your Galaxy A15 5G.

For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and moisture-free.

Ensure a secure screen lock (e.g., pattern, PIN or password) is set up.

From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.

Navigate:

Settings

Security and privacy

Biometrics

Tap

Fingerprints

Enter the current PIN, password or pattern then tap

Continue

Perform one of the following:

First Time Set Up

Review the message then tap

Follow the on-screen tutorial to scan your fingerprint.

Tap

Done

Tap the

Fingerprint unlock switch

to turn on Switch on icon

or off

Add More Fingerprints

Tap

Add fingerprint

Review the message then tap

Follow the on-screen tutorial to scan your fingerprint.

Tap 'Done' if finished or tap 'Add' to continue adding fingerprints.

Up to 4 fingerprints can be registered on the device.

Remove Fingerprint(s)

Touch and hold a fingerprint (e.g., Fingerprint 1, Fingerprint 2, etc.) until selected.

When selected, a blue checkmark appears to the left of the fingerprint.

Select any additional fingerprints to delete.

To delete all fingerprints, tap

All

(upper-left)

Tap

Remove

(at the bottom).

To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap

Remove
