Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G to get started. This ensures you can connect to the internet.

Before you begin

If using a physical SIM card, make sure there's a 5G SIM card is inserted into the device before powering on.

If the eSIM profile fails to download, refer to Download and Activate an eSIM after device setup is completed.

Press and hold the

Power / Side button

until the device begins to power on. Select a language then tap

Review Terms and Conditions screen, then tap

From the Tablet activation screen, tap

To set up your tablet using another device, tap

Connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Complete the activation steps as prompted then tap

Set up a screen lock and face recognition to secure your device.

Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services option (e.g., Gemini, Location, etc.).

To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and Apps info, tap
