Add a Virtual Private Network

Using your VPN provider or IT admin's credentials, add a VPN to your Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G to encrypt traffic and protect your identity on public Wi-Fi.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    More connection settings
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    3-dot Menu icon
    .
  4. Tap
    Add VPN profile
    .
  5. If presented with a secure screen lock notification, tap
    OK
    .
  6. From the Name field, enter the applicable name.
    If needed, contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  7. From the Type field, tap the
    Dropdown arrow icon
     then select the appropriate VPN type.
  8. Enter the info into the applicable fields, and if needed, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the following (e.g., DNS search domains, DNS servers, Proxy, etc.) then tap
    Save
