If your moto g play - 2024 drops calls due to being near a network border, locking onto a specific network can help; however, roaming charges may apply.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Mobile network
    Verizon
    .
  3. If you're having trouble with your connection, do the following to manually select a carrier:
    1. Tap the
      Automatically select network switch
       to turn off.
    2. Select a carrier.
      It may require as many as 6 registration attempts with that carrier before successful registration.
