Google Pixel 8a - Add an Existing Google Account

Adding a Google™ (Gmail™) account to your Pixel 8a lets you access email, apps, and services, as well as sync your data across multiple devices.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Passwords, passkeys & accounts
    Add account
    .
  3. Tap
    Google
    .
    If prompted, enter the current lock method (e.g., Fingerprint, PIN, etc.) to proceed.
  4. Enter the applicanle Gmail address then tap
    Next
    .
  5. Enter the applicable password then tap
    Next
    .
    If 'Keep your account updated with this phone's number' appears, review then tap 'Yes, I'm in' or 'Skip' to continue.
  6. To continue, review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy then tap
    I agree
    .
  7. From the Google services screen, tap the
    Use basic device backup switch
     to turn on or off then tap
    Accept
    .
  8. Swipe left along the bottom edge to go back or swipe up from the bottom to exit.
