Move Files from Internal Storage to SD / Memory Card

Moving files to an SD card frees up storage space and helps your moto g 5G run more efficiently.

Before you begin

Mak sure and SD / memory card is inserted in your moto g 5g.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Storage
    .
  3. From the dropdown menu, tap
    This device
    .
  4. Select a category (e.g., Photos & videos, Music & audio, etc.).
  5. If applicable, select the directory/folder that contains the file(s).
  6. Tap and hold the file to select it.
  7. Tap the
    3-dot Menu
    .
  8. Tap
    Move to
    .
  9. Tap
    SD card
    .
  10. Tap the appropriate
    SD Card folder
    .
  11. If necessary, navigate to the applicable directory to move the files to or create a new folder.
  12. Tap
    Move here
    .
