Add / Remove a Wi-Fi Connection

Connect your TCL 50 LE to a visible or hidden Wi-Fi network or remove a saved one. This can help with troubleshooting or make it easier to connect to networks you use.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on.
  4. Perform one of the following:
    • To connect to an available Wi-Fi network
      1. Tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.
      2. Enter the appropriate password then tap
        Connect
        .
    • To manually connect to a Wi-Fi network
      1. Tap
        Add network
         (scroll down if needed).
      2. From the Network name field, enter the name.
      3. From the Security field, tap the
        Dropdown menu
        .
      4. Tap the appropriate security option (i.e., None, Enhanced, WEP, etc.)
      5. From the Password field, enter the password.
      6. Tap
        Advanced options
         to ensure additional settings are configured appropriately.
      7. Tap
        Connect
        .
    • To remove a Wi-Fi connection
      1. Tap the Wi-Fi network you wish to remove.
      2. Tap
        Forget
        .
