Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

A screen lock secures your TCL 50 LE and keeps it private. Setting it up or adjusting the options helps you find the right balance between security and accessibility.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Device unlock
    Screen lock
    .
  3. If prompted, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Set Up PIN
      1. Tap
        PIN
        .
      2. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap
        Next
        .
      3. Re-enter the PIN then tap
        Confirm
        .
      4. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • Set Up Pattern
      1. Tap
        Pattern
        .
      2. Draw an unlock pattern connecting at least 4 dots then tap
        Next
        .
      3. Draw the same pattern again then tap
        Confirm
        .
      4. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • Set up Password
      1. Tap
        Password
        .
      2. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters) then tap
        Next
        .
      3. Re-enter the password then tap
        Confirm
        .
      4. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • Disable Screen Lock
      1. If prompted, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
      2. Tap
        None
         or
        Swipe
        .
