TCL FLIP 3 - Manage RTT Settings

Here's how to use the real-time text (RTT) functionality on your FLIP 3.
Real-time text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written, without waiting or the need for an additional device.

Change RTT Visibility

  1. From the main screen, press the
    OK button
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the OK button to select.

  2. Select
    Settings
    .
  3. From the Device tab, select
    Accessibility
    .
  4. Select
    RTT
    .
  5. Select
    Real Time Text Visibility
    .
  6. Highlight a setting then press the
    OK button
     to choose an option:
    • Only during calls
    • When placing calls

Make a Call with RTT

  1. With RTT set to 'When placing calls', do one of the following:
    • From the keypad:
      1. Enter a 10-digit number.
      2. Press the
        right soft key
         soft key to select
        Options
        .
      3. Select
        RTT call
        .
    • From Contacts:
      1. Press the
        right soft key
         to select
        Contacts
        .
      2. Highlight the contact.
      3. Press the
        right soft key
         to select
        Options
        .
      4. Select
        RTT call
        .

Switch a Call to RTT

  1. With RTT set to 'Only during calls', place a call.
  2. Once call is connected, press the
    right soft key
     soft key to select
    Options
    .
  3. Select
    RTT call
    .

End an RTT Call

  1. While on a call, press the
    End Call button
    .
    End Call
