Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Enabling a SIM PIN provides extra security to your Orbic® SPEED X 5G, helping to prevent unauthorized use and protect your personal info if your device is misplaced or stolen.

Before you begin

Enabling the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Personal Identification Number (PIN) locks the SIM card so it can't be used until the correct code is entered. If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the 4G SIM PIN / PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

Steps

  2. From the Settings section, click the
    Arrow icon
    .
  3. Click the
    Advanced
     tab.
  4. Review the warning message then click
    Continue
    .
  5. Click the
    SIM tab
    .
  6. Do any of the following:
    • To enable the SIM PIN:
      1. From the Desired Action field, click the
        Dropdown arrow icon
         then select
        Turn on PIN Lock
        .
      2. From the Current PIN field, enter the current PIN.
        The default PIN is 1111.
      3. Click
        Save Changes
        .
    • To disable the SIM PIN:
      1. From the Desired Action field, click the
        Dropdown arrow icon
         then select
        Turn off PIN Lock
        .
      2. From the Current PIN field, enter the current PIN.
      3. Click
        Save Changes
        .
    • To modify the SIM PIN:
      1. Ensure the PIN Lock option is turned on.
      2. From the Desired Action field, click the
        Dropdown arrow icon
         then select
        Change PIN
        .
      3. Enter the following then click
        Save Changes
        :
        • Current PIN
        • New PIN
        • Confirm new PIN
