Update Firmware

Firmware updates improve performance, fix bugs and enhance security. Installing them helps keep your Orbic® SPEED X 5G safe and running efficiently.

Steps

  1. Do either of the following:
    • To check for updates via the device:
      1. From the Home screen, tap
        Menu
        .
        If necessary, press the
        Power button
         to turn on the display.
      2. Tap
        Software Update
        .
      3. If an update is available, do the following:
        1. Tap
          OK
           to begin the download then allow several minutes for the download to complete.
        2. When presented, tap
          Install Now
          .
        3. Review the message then tap
          Yes
           to confirm.
      4. Tap
        OK
        .
    • To check for updates via the Admin Web Interface:
      2. From the Settings section, click the
        Arrow icon
        .
      3. Click the
        Software Update tab
        .
      4. Click
        Check for Update
        .
