 Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Pixel 9 / 9 Pro / 9 Pro XL to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password, and security type to enhance security.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Hotspot & tethering
    Wi-Fi hotspot
    .
  3. From the Wi-Fi hotspot screen, set up the following:
    • Hotspot name
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
    • Hotspot password
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
    • Speed & compatibility (e.g., 2.4 and 5GHz, 6GHz, etc.).
  4. Tap any of the following to turn on or off.
    • Use Wi-Fi hotspot
    • Turn off hotspot automatically
