Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G Kids Edition to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap either 'Network name', 'Password' or 'Band' to enter the Configure Mobile Hotspot menu.
  4. Configure the following as needed:
    • Network name
    • Security (e.g., Open, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
    • Password
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        Save
        .
    • Band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz preferred)
  5. Tap
    Advanced
     to configure the available options (e.g., MAC address type, Hidden network, Wi-Fi sharing, etc.).
  6. Tap
    Save
    .
