A screen lock keeps your Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G Kids Edition safe and private. If you've set one up, follow these simple instructions to unlock your device and make it ready for use.

Before you begin

If you've set up a lock option to unlock your screen and can't remember it, refer to Samsung - Shutdown Prevention for what to do.

Steps

  1. Press the
    Power / Side button
     on the top edge of the device when in landscape orientation.
  2. Depending on the screen lock type, do one of the following:
    • Swipe the up from the bottom of the display.
    • Draw the current unlock pattern.
    • Enter the current PIN or password.
    • Using the front-facing camera, position your face within the provided area.
    • Touch the fingerprint sensor located on the bottom of the screen.
  3. If necessary, tap
    OK
     or
    Done
    .
