Here's how to reset apps if your Pixel 9 Pro Fold crashes, resets or freezes.
Personal data such as browser bookmarks and other customized app settings can be backed up to Google's servers.
- Do any of the following:
- Reset Individual AppResetting an app doesn't remove saved items on the device (e.g., texts, pictures, voicemails, etc.); however, saved passwords for Wi-Fi, settings, backgrounds, etc. within the app itself may be reset.
- Locate then select the appropriate app.If system apps aren't visible, tap theMenu icon
then tap
Show system.If troubleshooting for Voicemail, open thePhone appthen follow the steps below. Once reset, you must activate Voicemail. - TapForce stop.
- TapOK.
- TapStorage & cache.
- TapClear storage.This option may not be available for some apps.
- TapDelete.
- Reset All App PreferencesThis option resets app preferences for disabled apps, notification restrictions for apps, default apps, background data restrictions for apps, and permission restrictions.
- Tap theMenu icon
- TapReset app preferences.
- TapReset apps.
