Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN

Enabling a SIM PIN provides extra security to your moto g - 2025, helping to prevent unauthorized use and protect your personal info if your device is misplaced or stolen.

Before you begin

Enabling SIM PIN locks the SIM card, preventing it from being used until the correct PIN is entered.
If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the SIM PIN / PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    More security & privacy
    .
  3. Tap
    SIM lock
    .
  4. Tap the
    Lock SIM switch
     to turn on or off.
  5. Enter the SIM PIN then tap
    OK
    .
    The default SIM PIN is 1111.
  6. To change your SIM PIN, ensure the Lock SIM card switch is turned on then follow the on-screen prompts.
