By managing your Emergency SOS settings on your Apple® iPhone®, you can decide which activation methods are enabled, ensuring a quick and appropriate response in a crisis.

Before you begin

The steps below only apply to iPhone 8 or newer.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Emergency SOS
    .
  3. Tap any of the following switches to turn on or off:
    Turning off the switches allows you to still use the Emergency SOS slider to contact emergency services.
    • Call with Hold and Release
    • Call with 5 presses
    • Call Quietly
    • Call After Severe Crash
