Before you begin
If you've set up a lock option to unlock your screen and can't remember it, refer to Shutdown Prevention - (Samsung) for what to do.
Steps
- Press thePower button.
- Depending on the screen lock type, do one of the following:
- Swipe up from the bottom of the display.
- Draw the current unlock pattern.
- Enter the current PIN or password.
- Using the front-facing camera, position your face within the provided area.:
- If face recognition fails, swipe up from the bottom of the display.
- Enter the PIN, pattern or password.
- Touch the fingerprint sensor located on the Power/Side button.:
- If the fingerprint isn't recognized, swipe up from the bottom of the display.
- Enter the PIN, pattern or password.
- If necessary, tap 'OK' or 'Done'.
