Add / Remove Face Recognition

Use facial recognition on your TCL K33 5G to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

If synced to a corporate exchange account, the availability of this option depends on the policies of your IT admin.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Device unlock
    Face & fingerprint unlock
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, pattern or password.
  4. Tap
    Face unlock
    .
  5. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. From the Add face data prompt, tap
        Start
        .
      2. Align your face within the circle and follow onscreen prompts until the process is complete then tap
        Done
        .
      3. Review the Face unlock info then tap
        OK
        .
      4. Tap the options to turn on or off:
        • Face unlock
        • Face on lock screen after unlocking
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. Read the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
