Verizon Family Share Location with Smartwatch

Share Location with SmartwatchLocation access is needed by Verizon Family and the Verizon Family Watch app to share the location of your smartwatch.
Share Location with Apple Watch
- Open theApp Storeon your Apple® Watch® then install the following depending on your user role:
- Verizon Family app (for Guardians and Members)
- Verizon Family Companion app (for Child)
- From the smartwatch, open theVerizon Family Watch app.Ensure your watch Family app and mobile Family app are open at the same time.
- If prompted, do any of the following:
- To turn on notification permission
- From the Allow notifications prompt, tapAllow.
- View the confirmation that your watch's location is being shared then press theHome button.
- To turn on location permission
- From the Share this watch's location prompt, tapShare location.
- TapUse precise locationto turn on.
- TapAllow While Using.
- Tap the Verizon Family notification confirming your (or your child's) smartwatch is sharing location.
- TapDone.
- For the best experience, add the Verizon Family complication to your watch face to use location sharing by doing the following:
- On your phone, open theWatch app.
- Tap the image of your current watch face.
- Scroll to the Complications section then tap on a slot.
- Select theVerizon Family complication.
Share Location with Android Watch
- From your Android™ smartwatch, open the Google Play™ store then install the following depending on your user role:
- Verizon Family app (for Guardians and Members)
- Verizon Family Companion app (for Child)
- From the smartwatch, open theVerizon Family Watch app.Ensure your watch Family app and mobile Family app are open at the same time.
- If prompted, do any of the following:
- To turn on location permission:
- From the Set your watch permissions to Use precise location prompt, tapLocation.
- TapUse precise locationto turn on.
- TapWhile using app.
- TapAll the time.
- To turn on notification permission:
- From the Allow notifications prompt, tapAllow.
- From the Your watch's location is being shared message, press theHome button.
- Tap the Verizon Family notification confirming your (or your child's) smartwatch is sharing location.
- TapDone.
- For the best experience, add the Verizon Family complication to your watch face by doing the following:
- For Pixel watches:
- On your phone, open theWatch app.
- TapEdit.
- Scroll to the Complications section then tap on a slot.
- Select the Verizon Family complication then tap theBack arrow icon.
- TapSave.
- For Galaxy Watches:
- On your phone, open theWearable app.
- Tap the image of your current watch face then tapCustomize.
- Scroll to the Complications section then tap on a slot.
- Select the Verizon Family complication then tapSave.
