Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your TAB 8 NXTPAPER 5G to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Tethering and Mobile Hotspot
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Tap either 'Network name', 'Password' or 'Band' to enter the Configure Mobile Hotspot menu.
  5. Configure the following as preferred:
    • Network name
    • Password
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Enter the password then tap
        Save
        .
    • Band (e.g., 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz)
    • Security (e.g., Open, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
  6. Tap
    Save
    .
